Video: 360 x Justice vs Madness x Thesaurus

Two questions: when did YouTube start allowing 20-minute videos? And who chose the horrible pseudo-crunk theme music on this one?

With that out of the way, enjoy the battle.

Pez nominated for APRA Award

I don’t need an excuse to post a pic of the sexy Ms Mauboy. But this time I have a valid one.

Pez and his ‘The Festival Song’ ( you might have heard of it?) have been nominated for Urban Work Of The Year at this year’s APRA Awards. Seems a bit chronologically distorted, but who’s complaining?

Other nominees include Hilltop Hoods, Phrase, Bliss N Eso and the aforementioned Jessica M, with the winner to be announced at a ceremony in Sydney on Monday 21 June. Congrats to all the nominees … and to 360, Matik and Hailey Cramer who co-authored ‘The Festival Song’ with Mr Chapman. Kudos.

Video: Geko x Fluent Form ‘Memories’

It’s rare that we post local rap videos from crews other than our own, but when the sh*t is good, exceptions can be made.

Crate Cartel maestro Geko has a new project on the way called Crate Cartel Radio; this is the first vid from it. Executed by Heata who you might remember from a whole gang of Hired Goons YouTube hits.

Nothing fancy, but the clip/track have a nice vivid feeling to them … rugged but smooth, invoking memories of ‘Can It All Be So Simple’ and classic joints of that ilk. Geko is nice with his. Consider me a convert.
